Always an Open Door

"With what shall I come before God, and bow myself before God on high?  God has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does God require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God"
(Micah 6:6,8)

Sometimes an open door is all you need.  You're not looking for a church to tell you its own version of right and wrong.  You're not looking for a church that has all the answers.  Or a church that includes only the right kind of people.  You're looking for a church where you can bring your doubts, your questions, your fears, and find a welcoming, open community willing to share them.  The doors to our churches are always open (literally) and within, you will find a quiet place of prayer and a nurturing community ready to help you find your voice and your vocation to the world in Christ's name.  Reconnect your spirit without disconnecting your mind.  Come and see!

Unable to make it to church this Sunday?  Now you can watch live webcasts of the 8AM and 10:45AM (Eastern) Holy Eucharist services from St. Matthew's.  You will need Real Player (a free download - no subscription necessary).  Go to The Church on the Web page for more details.

The consecration of Eugene T. Sutton as 14th Bishop of Maryland will be held on June 28 at 11AM at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.  Passes are required to attend.  If you are planning to go, please call the Church Office to reserve a pass and a seat on the bus by May 26.  Passes and seats on the bus will be available only on a first come-first served basis after that date.
You can help the victims of the devastating cyclone that hit Myanmar and the earthquake that hit China.  Through the efforts of Episcopal Relief and Development, aid is being channeled into both areas.  You can donate on line by clicking the graphic at the left.
